Kelsey Kearney

ENGAGEMENT ASSOCIATE

Kelsey Kearney brings her Southern charm and more than 10 years of career experience shaping narratives, customer support, cultivating corporate partnerships, and servicing the improvement of culture and hiring practices within the entertainment industry to Long Beach as the Engagement Associate at Compound, dually serving marketing and development initiatives.

Kelsey has used her passion for people, progress, and storytelling to help studios and household name brands execute their goals to improve customer experience and use their resources to make better the world around them, particularly in the space of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Her career spans roles as a writer for Arkansas’ largest newspaper, a customer and technical support specialist, and even work in corrections. However, her most impactful contributions include serving as Industry Relations Specialist for ARRAY Crew, where she championed underrepresented production crew members while cultivating relationships with every major Hollywood studio, and as the INVOKE Lead at FREE THE WORK, where she helped improve hiring practices and production culture.

Kelsey holds a B.A. in Mass Communications with a minor in English – Writing from Ouachita Baptist University and is an active member of the Assistance League of Los Angeles, the NAACP, and other organizations.

When she’s not working, Kelsey enjoys concerts, auditioning for The Voice in her car, and staging her own Great British Bake Off in her Inglewood kitchen—competing against herself, of course.
