AJ Girard

AJ Girard is an L.A.-based independent curator and cultural strategist with a deep commitment to the arts and social change. He holds a BA in Art History from Howard University and has priorly worked across institutions and galleries such as The Broad Museum, David Kordansky Gallery, the California African American Museum (CAAM), The Underground Museum and most recently, Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy. His critically-acclaimed show, Shattered Glass, co-curated with Melahn Frierson at Jeffrey Deitch, featured work from 40 international artists of color. His experience encompases a focus in culture, community engagement and brand partnerships to support art spaces and future audience engagement.
